Privacy Policy
This website does not require an account, does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not sell or share personal data.
What is stored
Your chosen city and light/dark preference are kept in your own browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not readable by us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Server logs
Our server keeps standard request logs — URL, timestamp, response status and user agent — for reliability and abuse prevention. These are not used to build a profile of you.
Panchang calculation
Panchang data is computed by our own API at api.mahakaldarshan.co.in from the city coordinates in the URL. No personal identifier is sent with that request.
Finding your location
Two outside services are used to turn a place into coordinates, and only when you ask for it. Searching for a town, or pressing the locate button, sends what you typed (or the coordinates from your device, if you grant permission) to photon.komoot.io. If you do not grant location permission, your IP address is sent to ipapi.co to guess the nearest city — that guess is only ever offered to you, never applied on its own. Neither request carries any identifier of you beyond what is described here, and declining both still leaves the whole site usable.
